In the summer and fall of 2025, our firm organized and conducted a series of tours for the developer Rodina. Three custom routes were developed for the project, each dedicated to a specific residential complex and its surroundings. This article describes the program for the Rodina Park residential complex in Moscow's Mozhaisk district. This area required special preparation: the route was created from scratch, including an on-site visit and a detailed survey of the area. How the route was designed: The tour began at the sales office and, step by step, revealed the historical layer of this part of the city through the dacha culture of Kuntsevo. Before its incorporation into Moscow in 1960, this was a prestigious suburban area, and it was from this context that the guide introduced participants to the area. On the walking route, participants were shown the dacha of the Filippov dynasty, renowned Moscow bakers. Read more...

To understand the format and why it's structured this way, the firm usually starts with context. The developer Rodina approached us with a rather unusual request: the company has several residential projects in different areas of Moscow, and the goal wasn't just to "show off" something, but to create comprehensive tour programs around each residential complex. The audience for such programs is twofold. First, are the brokers selling apartments. It's important for them not just to know the floor plans, but to understand the neighborhood, to be able to "sell the environment," to convey the story, the atmosphere, and the future. Second, are the clients. Some have already purchased an apartment, and then the tour becomes a pleasant bonus. Others are still choosing, in which case the tour becomes part of the funnel: they want to get a feel for the place and fall in love with it. Read more...

We organized a weekend excursion for SFT Group, a company the agency has been working with for several years. SFT Group commissions this series of itineraries from us year after year, and the 2025 excursion plan also included a number of walks: Patriki, Zamoskvorechye, Presnya, Khamovniki, and Preobrazhenka. On this program, Maria led the tour of Basmanny and Vorobyovy Gory. And on December 13, the group also planned a "Sultry Places" tour. Some of the participants on the Basmannaya excursion had been to the area before, but they knew little about Basmanny in general, so the guide's explanation was a major revelation for many. Along the route, the guests saw the many places and interesting buildings hidden between Novaya and Staraya Basmannaya. Read more...

Not every new district in Moscow allows for such a coherent discussion of industrial history, urban memory, and contemporary architectural language. That's why our bureau's latest signature tour was dedicated to Zilart, a district that grew on the site of the former Likhachev Automobile Plant. This time, the tour included developers from the Samolet company, who have chosen our bureau for tours before. Previously, the guide had led the same group on a walk through Zamoskvorechye, where the discussion focused on residential complexes and the historical environment. This time, the focus shifted to a completely different urban context: an area undergoing large-scale redevelopment, where new architecture literally emerges from the industrial past. Read more...

Garrett Johnston on a private tour of Moscow's Golden Mile. A walk through the Prechistenka and Ostozhenka neighborhoods.

Anton gave Garrett Johnston a personal tour of Moscow. This Russian-speaking Irishman, a renowned business strategist, was a guest on a private tour of the Prechistenka and Ostozhenka districts. Anton, who had enjoyed Garrett's interviews many times, was delighted to meet him in person. Incidentally, Garrett had been approached by Donstroy, whose employees we had recently organized a series of tours for, and the expert himself had reached out to us to better understand the historical and cultural context of Moscow's elite neighborhoods. Although Donstroy was not an intermediary this time, the company's influence was still significant. After completing the walking tour, Garrett headed to the Donstroy sales office to meet Olga, a friend of our guide, and Anton sent her his regards. Read more...

How do you organize an unforgettable nighttime tour of Moscow for a couple hundred teachers from Kyrgyzstan and Russia? Our tour agency has the answer! In mid-August, we organized a personalized adventure for teachers who had come to the Russian capital to explore its majestic streets and iconic landmarks. The three-hour tour began on Olympic Avenue, where our guests were amazed by the scale of the famous stadium's reconstruction. A guide on each of the four buses explained local attractions, including the rich history of Grandfather Durov's Corner. As darkness fell, Moscow at night lit up the tour participants with all its lights and colors. The tour participants traveled along Moscow's main ring roads, admiring the Garden and Boulevard Rings. Thursday morning began with a fascinating tour for employees of Talant, a company actively expanding into the Moscow real estate market. Our guide took the group on a tour of the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy to immerse them in the country's national character and history. The tour began at the Monument to the Conquerors of Space, where the importance of teamwork was emphasized. The guide led the participants through the main entrance to the central part of the exhibition, where the influence of art on modern life was discussed, using the example of a cable car inspired by the TV series "Guests from the Future." Mrs. World Tour of Russia's Capital. Participants are photographed near the Italian Grotto in the Alexander Garden

Today, our agency managed to organize a personal tour for true stars! In Moscow, guide Sasha accompanied the first African-American Mrs. World and her friends from the beauty pageant. It was a true highlight for all of us. Our guide took the participants to the capital's most iconic sites, including the Spasskaya Tower and Red Square. This unusual tour turned into a true cultural exchange: Sasha shared his knowledge, and a translator helped Miss World, an African-American, understand every word. It was a wonderful experience of interaction and collaboration. However, no matter how hard we tried to impress them with stories about Moscow, our guests' attention was riveted by creating content. They actively recorded reels and took photos with the city's landmarks. Read more...

Who would have thought that the president of the Russian Union of German Shepherd Lovers would end up on a personal tour of Moscow for his Pakistani counterpart? Yes, that's right. Imran Hussain, a respected judge from Pakistan who is no stranger to Russia, was a guest of our tour agency. From August 16th to 18th, the city of Vidnoye was hosting a prestigious German Shepherd show, and of course, he couldn't miss it. Our guide met Imran at the Kutafya Tower, and they began a walk through the city's historic corners. They followed the classic route beneath the Trinity Tower. They discussed the snow-white Palace of Congresses, built in the second half of the 20th century. The Pakistani guest noted that it is an example of the international modernist style, characteristic of that time in America, Europe, and Russia. Read more...

A group of cellists were in for a personal Moscow discovery, and our guide was delighted to introduce them to a new itinerary. This customized tour was specially designed and organized for a delegation from various regions, including Kazakhstan. Guests were met at the Helikon Opera and led on a fascinating journey through Moscow's streets. The tour began with a talk about Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street and the buildings housing the Helikon Opera, built on the site of an old estate. The guide then led the participants to the Mayakovsky Theater, where they learned about its architect, Fyodor Ospovich Shekhtel, and the history of the theater, which once embodied the revolutionary spirit of Bolshevik propaganda. In Moscow, even excursions for teachers turn into personal adventures! On March 29, delegations of historians from across the country and even abroad—Armenia, Kazakhstan, Minsk, Belarus, and Transnistria—gathered for the excursion. They had arrived for a training course but were eager to explore the streets of the capital. Tired of a busy schedule, the teachers were eager for a new experience, and we were happy to provide them with that opportunity. Our six guides met the groups at three buses. One guide joined each bus, and the six groups set off on a journey through the heart of the city. The standard route began in the Alexander Garden and Manezhnaya Square, where the guides showed the guests the grotto, the riding school, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Read more...

This unusual walk was a special request from the mother of Artyom, a student at a Moscow school. She asked us to make the route shorter and more child-friendly, as it was cold outside. The route took one and a half to two hours—the perfect amount of time for such a walk. Since the fall, the boy and his mother have been preparing a project on the theme "The Poet's Journey, the Christian's Journey," studying Pushkin's works, his correspondence with Philaret, and Christian motifs in his writings. They wanted to see places in Moscow related to this theme and take photographs for a presentation. The tour began at the Pushkin monument, where the guide spoke about the poet's biography, his connections to St. Petersburg and Moscow, and his life before 1826, when he received permission to live in Moscow after a conversation with Nicholas I at the Chudov Monastery. The sixth day of our private tour of Moscow took a completely unexpected turn and turned into a vibrant and memorable event. Originally, we'd planned a walk through the metro stations, but our guest, Denise from Romania, suggested a change of plans. She's a believer and attends church weekly in her home country. Instead of a Sunday visit, she decided to go on Saturday, and the guide supported the idea. The choice fell on the church on Stoleshnikov Lane, which our guide regularly attends. That day, the church was hosting a children's liturgy—a special service held once a month. During the service, the Gospel is displayed on a screen, and the priest explains it to the children in a simple and accessible manner. The service lasts about an hour, after which all the children are invited to tea with treats brought by their parents. Read more...

How much more expensive is organizing a personal tour than a mass one?

If you are alone or in pairs, then a sum of several thousand for a walk around the city or twenty thousand for a car excursion is noticeable.

But if you're going for a walk with family or friends, the cost per individual participant is closer to a thousand or two - about what each person would pay for a group excursion with strangers.

For a group of 8 or more people, the price becomes even lower when calculated per person, which makes an individual excursion truly attractive.

***
A mass excursion is tourism, an individual excursion is a journey through the city’s secrets with a personal guide.
