Heart of the capital
Individual tour of Red Square, Zaryadye, GUM, Alexander Garden
Surrounded by the Kremlin. The main symbols of the capital with a detailed story about the past, present and future of the sights being observed. The route concentrates the most impressive sights, places of power and glory of Russia: the ultra-modern Zaryadye Park, the ceremonial Red Square, the memorial Alexander Garden. Let's take a walk along Manezhnaya Square, the street Varvarka, Vasilievsky Spusk, we will admire St. Basil's Cathedral, learn more about the Mausoleum, the Historical Museum, the Pashkov House and, of course, visit the legendary GUM. The “Heart of the Capital” tour is two and a half hours of visual, content and aesthetic pleasure.
Background
Slavyanskaya Square, where the tour begins, appeared back in the 14th century; in those distant times it was part of the road leading from Yauza to the heart of the city - the Kremlin. Today this path partially runs along Varvarka Street, so named because of the Church of Barbara the Great Martyr located on it. The “progenitor” of Varvarka Street walked along the ridge of the hill above the Moscow River. In 1380, Prince Dmitry Donskoy solemnly entered the city along it, having won the Battle of Kulikovo.
The southern part of Varvarka runs along Zaryadye Park, one of the youngest symbols of Moscow. Despite the fact that the park itself is only a few years old, the area where it is located has never been empty, like everything that is located in the immediate vicinity of the Kremlin. In the Middle Ages there were settlements of merchant people here, then the area became more prestigious, and artisans, clerks and merchants began to settle there. In the 20th century, the largest hotel in the world, “Russia”, stood on the site of the park at that time.
Zaryadye Park faces Vasilievsky Spusk, which “opens” Red Square - the main square of the city and the whole country.

How do you organize an unforgettable nighttime tour of Moscow for a couple hundred teachers from Kyrgyzstan and Russia? Our tour agency has the answer! In mid-August, we organized a personalized adventure for teachers who had come to the Russian capital to explore its majestic streets and iconic landmarks. The three-hour tour began on Olympic Avenue, where our guests were amazed by the scale of the famous stadium's reconstruction. A guide on each of the four buses explained local attractions, including the rich history of Grandfather Durov's Corner. As darkness fell, Moscow at night lit up the tour participants with all its lights and colors. The tour participants traveled along Moscow's main ring roads, admiring the Garden and Boulevard Rings. Who would have thought that the president of the Russian Union of German Shepherd Lovers would end up on a personal tour of Moscow for his Pakistani counterpart? Yes, that's right. Imran Hussain, a respected judge from Pakistan who is no stranger to Russia, was a guest of our tour agency. From August 16th to 18th, the city of Vidnoye was hosting a prestigious German Shepherd show, and of course, he couldn't miss it. Our guide met Imran at the Kutafya Tower, and they began a walk through the city's historic corners. They followed the classic route beneath the Trinity Tower. They discussed the snow-white Palace of Congresses, built in the second half of the 20th century. The Pakistani guest noted that it is an example of the international modernist style, characteristic of that time in America, Europe, and Russia. Read more...

A group of cellists were in for a personal Moscow discovery, and our guide was delighted to introduce them to a new itinerary. This customized tour was specially designed and organized for a delegation from various regions, including Kazakhstan. Guests were met at the Helikon Opera and led on a fascinating journey through Moscow's streets. The tour began with a talk about Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street and the buildings housing the Helikon Opera, built on the site of an old estate. The guide then led the participants to the Mayakovsky Theater, where they learned about its architect, Fyodor Ospovich Shekhtel, and the history of the theater, which once embodied the revolutionary spirit of Bolshevik propaganda. A special place on the tour was given to the Moscow State Conservatory, with which our guide has personal memories. Read more...

In Moscow, even excursions for teachers turn into personal adventures! On March 29, delegations of historians from across the country and even abroad—Armenia, Kazakhstan, Minsk, Belarus, and Transnistria—gathered for the excursion. They had arrived for a training course but were eager to explore the streets of the capital. Tired of a busy schedule, the teachers were eager for a new experience, and we were happy to provide them with that opportunity. Our six guides met the groups at three buses. One guide joined each bus, and the six groups set off on a journey through the heart of the city. The standard route began in the Alexander Garden and Manezhnaya Square, where the guides showed the guests the grotto, the riding school, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Read more...

A third visit to Russia, language learning, and plans to move—that's how our personal tour began for Denisa, who is in love with Moscow and its culture. She had already been here last summer, and before that, in 2019, she visited St. Petersburg. This time, she arrived in January, six months after her last visit (photo report here), and judging by her passion for the Russian language and films, Moscow could become her future home. We were delighted that this charming foreigner chose us again, and we again provided her with Elena as her guide. The first day of the program included a stroll along Arbat Street, the city center, and an unforgettable flight over the city in Zaryadye Park. All transportation this time was by metro, for which we had previously purchased a three-day unlimited travel card for Denisa (incidentally, we had to repurchase it). Read more...

Guides Anton and Alexey set off with the MGIMO participants on buses. The individual route took the shortest route along Vernadsky Avenue, offering magnificent views of the capital. The guides shared interesting information about Moscow and its landmarks, such as Moscow State University and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. After disembarking at Vasilievsky Spusk, Masha and Nastya joined the guides, and the participants regrouped. Everyone was given headphones, and the organizers set a clear goal: be at the Kremlin's Kutafya Tower in an hour and a half so that the participants could attend the concert. Unfortunately, the tour began an hour later than scheduled, due to a delay caused by some participants. The group included many MGIMO students representing various regions, as well as guests from Transnistria and Armenia. Read more...

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau
