Sightseeing tour of Moscow by car
Enjoy postcard views of the Russian capital from the windows of a comfortable minivan/minibus. A basic sightseeing program involves getting to know the main attractions of Moscow: Red Square, Bolshoi Theater, Zaryadye Park, Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Gorky Park, Luzhniki, Sparrow Hills, Mosfilm, Victory Park, Moscow City, New Arbat, Boulevard Ring, Tverskaya Street, Novodevichy monastery, GES-2. If you have special wishes, we are always ready to add a “zest” to the standard route.
Our sightseeing tours are conducted in comfortable Mercedes-Benz vehicles — Viano and V-Class minivans (or similar models) and Sprinter minibuses.
Sample itinerary for a sightseeing tour of Moscow by car
The combination of Radius guides and drivers, along with the starting and finishing points best suited to each client, makes every sightseeing and historical tour unique. This is why no two of our Moscow sightseeing tours by car are the same: you enjoy a genuinely private experience rather than simply following a standard route around the capital’s landmarks. These car tours are ideal for a first introduction to the city, and you can choose where your tour begins and ends.
The exact sightseeing route depends on where the car collects you, your preferences, traffic conditions and any access restrictions in Moscow. Our guides are not only excellent storytellers, but also skilled at planning the route and choosing the most convenient approach to each sight.
For example, an individual sightseeing tour by car from the Baltschug Kempinski Hotel, located in Zamoskvorechye, may look like this.
We collect you from your hotel and cross to the opposite bank of the river. We park at Vasilyevsky Spusk, then explore Red Square and part of Zaryadye Park, allowing between half an hour and an hour for the walk. We then follow the embankment to the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Here, we stop and walk up to Patriarchal Bridge (about 15–20 minutes), where your guide will tell you about GES-2, Moscow’s newest art space. We then drive along Prechistenka and Pirogovka to Novodevichy Convent. On a four-hour tour, time permitting, we can stop there for a 15–20-minute walk. We take the Third Ring Road to the Metro Bridge and park at Sparrow Hills for a 15–20-minute stop. We then continue along Mosfilmovskaya Street, Minskaya Street and Kutuzovsky Prospekt, passing Victory Park. From there, we return to the Third Ring Road and head via Presnenskaya Embankment to the Moscow City business district, where we can make a brief stop of 5–7 minutes. We then follow the embankments towards the city centre. On our way «home», we pass along Novy Arbat, Nikitsky and Tverskoy Boulevards, Tverskaya Street and Okhotny Ryad, as well as Theatre Square, Lubyanka Square, Kitay-Gorodsky Proyezd and Moskvoretskaya Embankment. We finish at an inviting restaurant or back at your hotel, bringing the tour full circle.
Questions about the sightseeing tour by car
— What to do if we change our minds?
In case of cancellation or rescheduling of the excursion on the day of its intended conduct, we will withhold the prepayment already made in part or in full. This is due to the penalty policy of car rental services, as well as our guide schedule. If you notify us more than 24 hours in advance, we will fully refund the advance payment if you change your mind, and will not require additional payment if you reschedule the excursion.
— WITHHow many stops and walks are there during the excursion by car?
If the Sightseeing tour lasts 3 hours, then there are 3 exits from the car: for example, Vasilyevsky Spusk (Red Square) or Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Vorobyovy Gory, Moscow City. Sometimes In the course of three hours it turns out to make 4 stops.
If the excursion lasts 4 hours, then 4-5 exits and walks: the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and/or Novodevichy Convent are added, and the stops themselves are made longer.
Please note that the stopping places during the Sightseeing Tour may change due to the road and security conditions in Moscow, as well as the location of the car delivery and your preferences, which, if any, are best stated in advance. For example, Red Square is periodically closed (often the time of its closure is unknown in advance), since the square is a sensitive facility, and then you will not be able to visit it. But we can make a stop near Zaryadye Park and take a walk around Red Square. For other guests, on the contrary, “Red Square is not needed” - in this case, the place of the walking stop can be changed.
— Can we get into a traffic jam?
In general, excursions are free of traffic jams. Much depends on the route, time of day and year. Traffic jams are rare in the summer, but return in the fall. Peak: evenings before New Year. If you get stuck in a traffic jam, the duration of the excursion does not change, and the cost of the excursion is not compensated. Force majeure circumstances, so to speak. However, since the format of the excursions involves a leisurely ride and a constant narrative from the guide, if we slow down somewhere, we won’t be bored!
— Is it possible to make additional car stops, for example, on Tverskaya or Arbat?
It is important to consider where parking is provided. In principle, there are none on Tverskaya. All of the stops listed above offer this opportunity. On Arbat (and other places) we can stop in the side streets, but in order to fit the Sightseeing Tour into 3 hours, you need to exchange one for another, for example, Red Square for Arbat. Or we can extend the Sightseeing Tour to 4-5 or more hours. Then you can walk with a guide to many places.
By the way, parking in the center of Moscow is paid, but in most cases we pay for it ourselves. If parking turns out to be long at the request of the client and in total costs more than 500-1000 rubles, then we can ask the client to pay for parking. But this rarely happens - the guide and driver control the situation.
— Is it possible to travel by car not through the most famous sights of Moscow, but along another route that is interesting to us?
Yes. A sightseeing tour by car need not focus solely on the best-known landmarks. For example, we can adapt any of the themed walking tours presented in excursion menu. It is also possible to visit individual locations of interest to you by car. In these cases, the excursion may be more expensive than a standard sightseeing tour of Moscow by car. Although it is not quite correct to say “standard” — excursions are conducted by different “Radius” guides with different drivers from points convenient for clients, which means that we do not have absolutely identical “standard” routes — all sightseeing and historical walks are different and truly individual.
— Everything is great, but do you have discounts, benefits or installment plans for excursions by car?
Yes. You can pay for the excursion in shares.
“Shares” from Tinkoff helps you divide the cost of an excursion into four equal payments - without commission or additional fees. You will receive the excursion immediately (on the selected date) after paying for the first part. The remaining three will be debited from your card automatically, at intervals of two weeks. Before each payment, Tinkoff will send you a reminder of the debit date. More details about “Shares”: www.tinkoff.ru/dolyame/.
You don’t need any documents or payment of interest to receive an installment plan (we will pay the interest to Tinkoff). Simply select the “Shares” payment method when ordering an excursion (order form below) and place your order. Next, Tinkoff Bank will ask for your phone number and instantly decide whether you can use “Shares”. If everything is OK, the bank’s website will ask for your card details for the first payment.
That is, when ordering an excursion, simply choose the “Shares” payment method and follow the system.

Good afternoon, on June 23rd we had a tour called " The Soul of Moscow ," led by Alexander. He's a very pleasant young man. We visited such lovely courtyards and alleys with him that we never even knew existed, and we learned so much. We really enjoyed everything, and we hope to continue our acquaintance. Alexander! Thank you! We had a great time with you, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. See you there!Tatyana, Galina, Nadezhda June 24, 2026

This isn't my first time with Radius. This time, I took the Moscow metro . The goal was not only to admire the underground palaces but also to learn how to navigate the metro. As a resident of a region without a metro, I was a bit apprehensive and didn't understand how to navigate the metro. Of course, the internet helps, but live communication is much better. Tour guide Yulia handled this task perfectly. The information was accessible and interesting, the presentation was calm, and the communication style was very friendly. Thank you very much for the tour and the practical experience.Julia June 20, 2026

Good afternoon! I gave the "Soul of Moscow" tour to some of the capital's guests. We were thrilled to hear our guide, Anton. It was so informative and engaging, and very warm. To say we were absolutely delighted is an understatement. It turned out to be a truly family-friendly excursion. We learned so many interesting facts. The material was presented professionally, all our questions were answered, and we saw so much. It was simply WOW! Thank you so much, Anton, he's the best!!!!! From now on, I'll only come to you, the Radius team. I highly recommend it. I promise we'll see each other again soon on other tours.Inna May 26, 2026

Overall, the tour left a positive impression! Thanks to Alexander for the walk through the courtyards and atmospheric spots of Kitay-Gorod; we certainly wouldn't have done it on our own. The tour was comfortable, and the guide spoke confidently and calmly. One thing we personally missed: we would have liked more of the historical part, relating to ancient Moscow and the history of Kitay-Gorod. There were quite a few stories about the Soviet period and the bar scene, but for our group, this wasn't particularly relevant. We think the program could be a little more tailored to the age and interests of the group. It would also have been interesting to add more historical facts, monuments, and details about old Moscow and the area itself. That said, the tour was still interesting, and some places and churches were truly memorable. These aren't really "cons," but rather suggestions for an even more comprehensive program.Ksenia May 25, 2026

Hello! We had a corporate group of 10 people. Our guide was Anton, and we had a tour of Bulgakov. I would like to point out the excellent organization; everything went smoothly. The managers were very accommodating to our changes in the number of participants. The bus was very comfortable. Anton is a super-engaged and motivated guide. He lives this history and is delighted to share his knowledge and create an unforgettable experience. Everything went well. I highly recommend it!Oleg February 19, 2026

Excursions with the Radius travel agency are always a positive experience if you choose them. We planned a tour of Zamoskvorechye on our next visit. We've worked with our guide, Anton, before. We'll definitely recommend him to everyone we know. The tour is informative, not overloaded with dates, and the information is comprehensive yet easy to understand, as it's presented in a light, narrative manner, not like a history textbook, dry and academic. Thank you for this approach. We'll definitely use the Radius agency again on our next visit to Moscow.Tatiana June 23, 2025

We explored the Soul of Moscow with my family and Radius on my birthday. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the walk! Anton shared so many interesting facts about the capital and its history, taking us into spiritual depths no one else had even suspected. Most of us were either born or longtime Moscow residents who spent a lot of time walking around. It was educational, heartwarming, and unforgettable. 🙂 Overall, this wasn't my first time walking around Moscow with Anton, and each time was a real adventure!Olga May 4, 2025

Good day to all! I would like to share my impressions of the excursion "Journey to Christmas". Our guide was Anastasia. So! Everything was just magical: a slight frost of -4, snow, numerous Christmas trees, decorations, lights, garlands and all this to the interesting educational story of Anastasia. Despite the fact that we knew something about the New Year, there was a lot that was new, unexpected and interesting. And all this to the music of Tchaikovsky. In general, we are delighted. Thank you for the New Year mood you gave us. It is priceless!!!! Thank you!Victoria January 5, 2025
