Hot spots
Historical excursion about the drinking culture of Moscow (optional - with “secret” bars of Kitay-Gorod and alcohol)
An interactive tour of the history of Moscow's drinking culture. On the route, we will get to know the only sober cabman of 19th-century Moscow, the partying Nikolskaya, the MFC "Slavic Bazaar", the criminal Tolkuchy Market, the noisy Gorka, the mysterious Khokhlovka, and we will finish the program at Khitrovskaya Square - the most seedy place of the pre-revolutionary city. Purely at your request, theoretical discourses can be interspersed with visits to atmospheric "secret" bars of the capital with drinking alcoholic beverages.
Background
"Drinking is the joy of Rus', we cannot exist without it..." - according to the "Tale of Bygone Years", this is how Prince Vladimir explained it to overseas envoys during the debate on the choice of religion. More than a thousand years have passed since then, but how topical these lines sound! The quote and testament of the Red Sun is the main leitmotif of the "sinful" excursion program. We will try to find out how drinking traditions developed in Rus'. We will touch upon the history of alcohol as such, establish what exactly, where and how they beer in the old days on Moscow land. How are Ivan the Great and the invention of vodka related? What is the correct Russian name for a drinking establishment? Which restaurants have survived in the capital since pre-revolutionary times? You will learn the answers to these and many other questions during the excursion "Sinful Places". We will not ignore the drinking quarters of today. Theoretical discourses can periodically be interspersed with practical tastings (at your request!). The credo of the program is meaningful drinking!
By the way, we also held a drinking event for the Yandex company. And recently, culinary bloggers “Men at the Stove” approached us with a request to tell us about the drinking traditions of Moscow... And we told them, giving them a tour of gastronomy and drinking:
Clarification. In the video, the excursion is led by the artistic director of “Radius” Anton Latynin; when ordering, the excursion will be led by one of our free guides (not necessarily Anton).
The original tour “Great Places” is more informative and atmospheric than the video. At the request of the customer, along the route the guide can take you to the “secret” bars of Moscow. Then the historical walk will also become “bar, alcoholic and fun.”
Let's meet

Atmospheric places of Moscow in the company of Yandex
Moscow's Front and Secret Places for Yandex
A year ago, we organized a drinking tour for Yandex near Moscow State University. Today, we're summing up our collaboration with the IT giant and their "Summer Together" project this year. As part of the corporate event, Yandex employees were immersed in our bureau's fascinating city tours every week. On Saturdays, six individual groups embarked on a journey through Moscow's cultural attractions, accompanied not only by guides but also by curators who assisted with organizational matters and assessed the guests' impressions. After each tour, participants shared their feedback in the corporate automated system. Our guides immersed participants in the atmosphere of "The Soul of Moscow" (a tour through the alleys of Kitay-gorod), the grandiose VDNKh, Gilyarovsky's Moscow, and the cozy Zamoskvorechye district. Spanish friends, who had come to the capital on business, decided to relax and learn more about Moscow's drinking establishments. The drinking tour was conducted in Spanish. The guide and guests agreed to meet at 5:00 PM at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The guide's goal was to complete the drinking tour before evening, as the guests had other plans. The first part of the tour lasted about twenty minutes and was devoted to the history of alcoholic beverage production and drinking establishments in Moscow. The guide mentioned that the alcohol monopoly in Russia began in the late 4th century under Ivan III, and since the 18th century, Muscovites have been entertaining themselves in the area of today's Kitay-Gorod, where the tour took place. The guests also learned about the capital's drinking establishments, and that many served only drinks, not food, much like pubs. Read more...

The Good Mays event agency approached us to organize a corporate tour of Moscow for 60 people. We decided on the "Hot Spots" with alcoholic beverage tastings at atmospheric establishments in Kitay-Gorod, lasting 2.5 hours. It turned out that the client was Yandex. We suggested dividing the group into three groups and starting at hourly intervals. We decided on three establishments along the route and selected drinks. The day before, Anton and Alexey made a special visit to the three "hot spots" they planned to visit. They finalized their choice of liqueurs and cocktails and established rapport with the bartenders to ensure everything went smoothly. The next day, about half an hour before their tour, each of the three guides arrived at the location, spoke with the client's coordinators, and departed with the group. Read more...

The other day, we introduced true connoisseurs and experts to the hot spots of the subject. The tour started on Monday at 1:00 PM. Upon receiving the application, a reasonable question initially arose: what kind of enthusiasts decided to explore drinking traditions during such an unpopular time of year? During the tour, it became clear that the group came straight from the bar scene, and "Museum Monday" is a time of leisure for those who toil behind the bar nonstop through the weekend. As a result, the bar friends ended up having a tour-and-drink team building event. A smart decision on their part—nothing brings a group together more effectively than sharing a drink! This has been the custom in Rus' since the days of the grand princes' feasts, and our task is to uphold the epic traditions! Read more...

Have you noticed, friends, how hot spots and atmospheric drinking establishments have been popping up like mushrooms after rain in the capital's countryside in recent years? Whatever you say, our society is experiencing an extraordinary gastronomic boom right now. The variety of formats and ways to while away your time with a glass of wine is off the charts. Even the most seasoned connoisseurs of drinking establishments can't always keep up with new discoveries. Periodically, it's essential to patrol familiar streets and spot new establishments. With this goal in mind, two of our main drinking guides, Anton and Alexey, recently embarked on a reconnaissance mission to discover the latest "hot spots." The expedition was quite successful. The guys spotted several unique drinking holes. During their tour, they even came up with a preliminary concept for "Hot Spots 2," a sequel to the program beloved by many. Read more...

It's midweek, and a call arrives. A mortgage broker, who also happens to be celebrating his birthday, asks for a "Hot Spots" tour for him next Friday evening. His friends gave him a certificate for this fun, alcohol-fueled bar hopping excursion. With certificates, the recipient only needs to name a convenient date and time for the tour and obtain a guide's contact information from us. Sometimes, all the guides offering a particular tour are booked on the requested date and time. In these cases, we offer clients alternatives: either a different day/time, or even a different route. In this case, everything worked out: a suitable guide was available for the requested date and time. We provided the client with the guide's phone number so we could discuss the establishments along the route. And so, on Friday evening, at the appointed time, the drinking culture tour took place. We had a corporate group of 10 people. Our guide was Anton, and we had a tour of Bulgakov. I would like to point out the excellent organization; everything went smoothly. The managers were very accommodating to our changes in the number of participants. The bus was very comfortable. Anton is a super-engaged and motivated guide.
He lives this story and takes great pleasure in sharing his knowledge and creating impressions.
Everything went well. I recommend it!

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau
