Around the main pedestrian street. A tour of the Arbat area with an emphasis on nearby attractions. The main characters are classics of Russian culture. On the route: Arseny Morozov Castle, the house-museums of Gogol, Lermontov, Tsvetaeva, the Vakhtangov Theater, Spaso-Peskovskaya Square, Spasohaus, the Scriabin Museum, Tsoi's wall, the beehive house of the architect Melnikov, Bulat Okudzhava's house, the Pushkin and Bely museum complex, the high-rise building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Background
The main characters of the Arbat tour are classics of Russian culture and unusual houses. Be sure to read several works by Gogol, Lermontov and Tsvetaeva before the excursion, because your path lies past their houses, turned into museums. And these houses are living witnesses to incredible literary inspiration and talent. The Scriabin House-Museum, lost in the Arbat alleys, will remind you of the music of the “Belle Epoque”.
Along the cozy and crowded pedestrian Arbat you will pass by the Vakhtangov Theater and the Tsoi Wall, you will find an amazing beehive house, the Spasohaus on Spasopeskovskaya Square, the house of Bulat Okudzhava and the Pushkin museum complex. The excursion is crowned by the stunning high-rise building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - one of seven “sisters” built in the 40-50s of the last century.
The buildings of Arbat - amazing, unusual, different - are just illustrations of the amazing stories that the old district will tell you during the Arbat excursion.

A third visit to Russia, language learning, and plans to move—that's how our personal tour began for Denisa, who is in love with Moscow and its culture. She had already been here last summer, and before that, in 2019, she visited St. Petersburg. This time, she arrived in January, six months after her last visit (photo report here), and judging by her passion for the Russian language and films, Moscow could become her future home. We're delighted that this charming foreigner chose us again, and we again provided her with Elena as her guide. Read more...

Atmospheric places of Moscow in the company of Yandex
Moscow's Front and Secret Places for Yandex
A year ago, we organized a drinking excursion for Yandex near Moscow State University. Today, we're summing up our collaboration with the IT giant and their "Summer Together" project this year. As part of the corporate event, Yandex employees were immersed in our bureau's fascinating city tours every week. On Saturdays, six individual groups embarked on a journey through Moscow's cultural attractions, accompanied not only by guides but also by curators who assisted with organizational matters and assessed the guests' impressions. The next day, the German ladies rode not only by car but also on the metro, checking out the beautiful stations, and then strolled along Arbat. The guests were impressed by Melnikov's house and liked the Tsoi wall. Next, the group visited the Mausoleum, took photos at the Necropolis along the Kremlin wall, and, after driving, walked through Shmelyovsky Square near the Inspiration fountain to the Tretyakov Gallery. An axiom of the tour guide profession is that any self-respecting tour guide should never stunt their development. Our agency has long had a tradition of group walks along our signature tour paths. These encounters allow for the exchange of knowledge and experience, broadening horizons, and capturing the dynamic changes in the city. It's helpful for guides to meet regularly, compare route maps, maintain their individual style of presentation, and reach a common understanding of the thematic content of their tours. Read more...

Thank you and Masha for yesterday!
The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau

It was very interesting to hear how the Krasnaya district developed. Presni, how Prokhorov's figure influenced the development of our city. A pleasant dive into a quiet, previously unexplored area!

I wanted to express my gratitude once again for the wonderful excursion on Saturday - we really enjoyed the walk, the information and the communication with you, then we discussed for a long time what everyone remembered and what struck them. "Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
