Ice Tea and Lego: How Moscow Surprised a Romanian Guest. A Foreigner's Third Visit to Moscow / Day 4
On the fourth day individual excursion program in Moscow Our guide, Elena, gave her guest a packed itinerary. It all began with a visit to the panoramic deck on the 89th floor of the Moscow-City complex. They reached the complex by metro, which allowed them to experience the rhythm of city life. A surprise awaited them at the deck: the Chistaya Liniya company presented a new product—hot iced tea. These were brightly colored berry bars that simply needed boiling water to create a fragrant drink. The guide told her guest about the views from above, and together they took photos against the glass panels adorned with artwork, including the famous Banksy-style girl with a balloon.
An interesting discovery was that instead of a cinema, which was open in the summer, the space is now a Lego museum. This place is ideal for family recreation: here you can assemble figures, play with construction sets and even buy unique sets. After a walk around Moscow City, in order not to waste time on inconvenient transfers, the guide called a taxi, and they headed to the Radisson Hotel. Along the way, Elena was worried about making it to the next point on the route, but everything went according to plan.
At the Radisson, the guest looked around the hotel interiors and the diorama of Moscow with interest, and took photos against the backdrop of a gingerbread house stylized as the hotel's high-rise. Then they boarded a motor ship to go on a trip along the Moscow River. This stage of the program particularly impressed our guest. She enthusiastically took photos against the backdrop of the Kremlin, and the guide helped to stylize the shots in the well-known format when a person holds someone's hand and seems to lead them along.
During the walk along the river, they discussed a variety of topics in English, including life in Romania, where the guest came from. She noted that Moscow was striking in its cleanliness and order, which was in particular contrast to Paris, where, according to her, the cleanliness situation had worsened. The guest shared her impressions of her country's social policy, including problems with women's support and birth rates. The conversations were lively and interesting, and our guest expressed sincere admiration not only for the city views, but also for the organization of the excursion.
