Sightseeing tour of Moscow for participants of the Russia-Africa summit
The excursionists from Ghana arrived after the St. Petersburg forum "Russia-Africa" to see the capital. The guide had the task of showing the guests the main sights of the city in an individual format, telling in English as many interesting facts about history, architecture, and modern events as possible. The guests listened attentively and with interest.
One of the excursionists is the director of an energy company in Ghana, the second is an executive director. They came to Russia to develop business. They said that Ghana would like to receive nuclear energy from Russia and study it better. At the summit, they were able to listen to the president's speech, among other things.
Sightseeing tour route This time, the tour started from the Balchug Hotel, where the group, guide, and driver immediately took a minivan to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. We really wanted to see inside, but since it was early morning, the cathedral was closed, so we were only able to see it from the outside.
Then we went to the Novodevichy Convent and the Sparrow Hills. The tourists were pleasantly surprised by the university building and the view from the observation deck. After which the guide took the tourists to view the diorama at the Radisson Hotel. Initially, this location was not in the program, but the guests liked the surprise.
From Radisson, guests were taken to Moscow City, stopping at Poklonnaya Hill along the way. At the monuments in Victory Park, the guide told the guests at the cost of how many lives they managed to defeat fascism in the Great Patriotic War. Sightseers from Africa did not know this before and were extremely surprised.
Then the foreigners expressed a desire to enter the Mausoleum. But due to long queues, it was decided to postpone the visit to the next day.
There were 45 minutes left before the end of the sightseeing tour, and the guide decided to take the group to GUM so that the guests could also try the legendary ice cream in cups. They walked to the fountain, bought ice cream, and then asked to be taken to some Chinese cafe, since they had long dreamed of trying Asian cuisine.
The excursionists were so impressed that they offered the guide to stay with them longer, at least for lunch. But Elena had a new route starting in 20 minutes, and she left, leaving the guests in a good Asian cafe in the center. She herself was also left with a pleasant aftertaste from the completed author's excursion, saying that the guests were very intelligent, friendly, listened attentively, and spoke English very well.
