Fog enveloped Moscow like a thin blanket of smoke, creating the illusion that time had slowed, entangled in the web of past centuries. On Tverskoy Boulevard, amid the bustling stream of passersby, one man stood out—a tour guide named Nikolai. His old raincoat fluttered in the wind like a sail, carrying thoughts into the past. Today he was leading a tour of the shadows of the boyar families — The Golitsyns and Miloslavskys, who, as they said, left their mark not only on history, but also on the very air of Moscow.
Nikolai led his group to To the house of Maria ErmolovaThis house, built in the 19th century, has witnessed many secrets and dramas. Here, among walls steeped in history, Nikolai felt a special emotion. He knew that every stone here held the memory of those who lived and died, believing in their ideals and dreams.
"Here, gentlemen, begins a story about faith and doubt," he began, addressing his audience. "A story that makes us wonder if there is a God, and if so, how He views us mere mortals."
Nikolai spoke of the Golitsyns and the Miloslavskys, and how their destinies were intertwined with the fate of Russia. He recounted how the Golitsyns, an ancient boyar family, believed in the power of authority and their own significance, while the Miloslavskys, by contrast, sought truth in religion, hoping their prayers would be answered.
Listening to him, people involuntarily glanced around, as if expecting to see the ghosts of those he was speaking of. In the silence, broken only by the rustling of leaves, it seemed as if the shadows of the past would appear at any moment to confirm Nikolai's words.
"So, is there a God?" one of the listeners asked thoughtfully as the tour came to an end. Nikolai smiled, looking at Yermolova's house, which seemed to breathe with memories.
"Everyone finds their own answer," he replied. "For some, God is in prayer; for others, in the story that breathes upon us from these walls. The main thing is to never stop searching."
The fog gradually cleared, revealing the Moscow sky, and Nikolai, looking at it, felt that he had touched something important, something that transcended time and space.
The audience dispersed, leaving Nikolai alone on the boulevard. He stood there, breathing in the cool air, knowing that tomorrow he would return here again to continue his journey in the footsteps of history.

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
