Mikhail Bulgakov, walking along Tverskaya, noticed him and, coming closer, saw some incomprehensible melancholy in the cab driver's eyes. "Good day, my friend! What is troubling you so?" Bulgakov addressed him.
The cab driver raised his head, looked at the writer and reluctantly answered: "Ah, Mr. Bulgakov, life in Moscow has become too much for me. The architecture, these majestic buildings, they seem to weigh on me. Every day I drive people, but I myself feel lost in this city. Where can I find that corner where my soul could rest?"
Bulgakov smiled, looking at the majestic domes and towers that rose above Moscow. “You know, it’s all in the way we look at these walls and streets. Architecture is not just stone and brick, it’s a story we can hear if we want to. Doesn’t it inspire you to think that every stone holds a secret?”

They stood for a long time at the zero kilometer, discussing the history and secrets of Moscow, while the rain quietly erased the boundaries between the past and the present.

Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
