How a corporate tour enlivened the daily routine of a Moscow clinic

Guide Anastasia gave a tour for the employees of a private multidisciplinary clinic located near Petrovka. The head of the clinic decided to organize such a walk so that the employees who have been working in this historical area for more than ten years could finally learn more about the history of the area. The purpose of the event was twofold: not only to get acquainted with the rich history, but also to organize a small corporate event with lots of photos.

11 employees came on the tour, and the route chosen was quite successful. The clinic office is surrounded by many architectural landmarks, which allow us to talk about the development of the city's architecture. Within a few minutes' walk you can see classicism, modernism and constructivism. The proximity of the Garden and Boulevard Rings helped to clearly discuss how Moscow developed. Of course, the famous Hermitage Garden was not ignored, which gave the opportunity to talk about the history of the theater in Moscow. An important point was the topic of Vladimir Vysotsky, whose places of memory are also encountered along the route. The excursionists listened with interest to stories about his life and work.

The walk included a stop at the Vysokopetrovsky Monastery. This place always evokes delight due to its picturesque locations for photographs. Participants were delighted to take pictures against the backdrop of ancient walls and cozy corners.

The author's route was adapted at the request of the clinic staff, and our flexibility was one of the decisive factors when choosing an excursion bureau. The organizers emphasized that other agencies had a fixed program with an unknown route, which is reported only before the start. Our guide sent a detailed program in advance, which was especially important for the customer. She was pleased to note that the start of the excursion at the clinic office is our signature feature.

A funny episode happened at the beginning of the walk. When Nastya was waiting at the reception in the clinic office, waiting for the employees to finish their work and get ready, a funny moment happened. There was complete silence in the hall, only light, soothing music. And then the microphone in the bag suddenly turned on, producing a loud and piercing sound with Chinese speech, as if an alien invasion was threatening. This effect worked so loudly that the entire office went into a state of alarm, deciding that this was either a training exercise or a real alarm. The guide also did not immediately understand that it was her microphone that caused such a panic. But, fortunately, the situation quickly cleared up, and everyone calmed down, and the unexpected incident turned into a funny episode that enlivened the atmosphere.

Afterwards, the staff were ready for the tour with a cheerful mood and attention to detail. The entire team of the clinic seemed to have been working together for a long time, creating a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. One of the participants turned out to be an expert in local history, knew almost all the routes and actively shared his knowledge, although for the rest, most of the stories were new.

When the guide approached Trubnaya with the group and the topic of Gilyarovsky began, colleagues suggested taking a break. They stopped at a bar, where the head of the company generously treated everyone, including the guide. They took drinks, whatever they preferred, and continued the route with cups in their hands, as if with coffee, in a cheerful and elevated mood.

The walk was organized in such a way as to include both daytime Moscow and the lights of the evening city, when the lanterns were lit and magical views began. Both impressions were especially contrasting and bright. The guests were delighted, thanked for the excursion, and later sent a review, promising to come again.
