In a roundabout way
Individual tour of the courtyards and alleys of Tverskaya Street in Moscow
The excursion will take place through the most interesting and atmospheric courtyards and gateways of the center of Moscow. On the route: Savvinskoye Compound, the Aragvi restaurant and the Shubinsky Chambers, the site of the execution of the arsonists of 1812, the courtyard of street art, the bathhouse gateway, the Moscow bondage center, unusual anti-cafes and, at the end, especially for you, the legendary VKHUTEMAS.
Background
The courtyards of the central streets hide the underside of the front door of Moscow, ancient interiors, iconic places, history and mysticism, art and the truth of life.
“Detours” is, however, a series of disparate legends and stories, united by a genre of nonlinear movements through the back streets and courtyards of the center. Savvinskoye Compound is a famous house that was moved. He used to stand on the first line of Tverskaya, but ended up on the second. Everything in this house is beautiful: the architecture is in the neo-Russian style, two courtyards with wells are typical for St. Petersburg, but exceptional for Moscow. The rebuilt chambers are located in the back of the same house. An interesting example of how pre-Petrine architecture is rebuilt externally, but keeps its secrets inside. The chambers were part of the recently closed Aragvi restaurant. This establishment with Georgian cuisine was once considered the favorite restaurant of Stalin and Beria.
Later, poets of the sixties gathered within the same walls, Tarkovsky "washed down" his cinematic successes. As for the Kabbalah center, it is also located in one of the passerby gateways. This is a place where they teach ancient languages and various wisdom. Anyone can go into a cafe and a bookstore, see the hardening books in the public domain. There are many rumors and speculations around Kabbalah as a mystical teaching, it is interesting that such institutions are hidden in Moscow's back streets. VKHUTEMAS (higher artistic and technical workshops, originally an academy of painting, sculpture and architecture) is the forge of the Russian avant-garde. At various times, the following studied or taught in this building: Goncharova, Larionov, Tatlin, Rodchenko, Mayakovsky, Malevich, Kandinsky, Shchusev, Melnikov, Ginzburg and others - masters and innovators, driven by revolutionary energy, who created unprecedented works here, which are rightly considered masterpieces of world culture.
Truly, a tour of the courtyards, courtyards and alleys of Moscow is an opportunity to peer into the cultural cross-section of the capital and simply have a pleasant and educational stroll through the historical center.

Guide Anastasia led a tour for the employees of a private multidisciplinary clinic located near Petrovka. The clinic's director decided to organize the excursion so that the staff, who have worked in this historic area for over ten years, could finally learn more about the area's history. The purpose of the event was twofold: not only to learn about the rich history but also to organize a small corporate event with plenty of photos. Eleven employees attended the tour, and the route chosen was quite successful. Read more...

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
