One Sunday at the beginning of the 20th century, when Moscow had not yet known the rush of a metropolis, Marina Tsvetaeva, a young poetess, went to the Preobrazhensky Market. This market, like many others in the capital, was a place where destinies and voices mixed, where on every corner one could meet not only merchants and artisans, but also representatives of the most diverse social strata.
The weather was cool but sunny, and the wind, playing with the coattails of passers-by, brought the aromas of fresh vegetables and baked goods. The Preobrazhensky market was famous for its diversity in those years: here you could find everything from exotic spices to simple peasant goods. It was here that Marina met a serf peasant who had come from a neighboring province. He brought his modest wealth for sale - baskets of apples and nuts.
They started talking, and soon Marina, with her usual curiosity, asked him how he saw women - which ones did he like better, with light or dark hair? The peasant, smiling, answered that the most important thing for him was not the color of the hair, but the light in the eyes and the kindness in the heart. Nevertheless, he admitted that in his village they said that light-haired girls brought happiness to the house, and dark-haired ones - wisdom and fortitude.
Marina thought, looking at the surface of the Yauza River, which flowed near the market. She remembered lines from her poems, where every color and every sound had its meaning and its place in her poetic universe. Perhaps it is not so important what the color of hair is, as what is hidden behind these external attributes - the soul and heart of a person.
The historical context of this time in Moscow was full of changes: revolutionary sentiments, new trends in literature and art, a desire for freedom and self-expression. In such conditions, every conversation, even at the market, could become the beginning of something bigger - a new friendship, inspiration for poetry, or just a pleasant memory.
Marina said goodbye to the peasant, leaving him a few coins for the apples and nuts. She left the market, taking with her not only her purchases, but also new thoughts that might form the basis of her future works.

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
