One grey, foggy autumn day, when raindrops were pattering on the roof, as if reminding me that the world was full of inevitable changes, I went to excursion through Moscow courtyards, near Tverskaya Street. The houses, ancient and majestic, seemed to me as if frozen in anticipation of something important. And then, among the stone facades and damp pavements, I met two great shadows of the past, who seemed to come to life in the rain.
Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, frozen by the wrought-iron fence, looked sadly at the wet cobblestones. His thoughts seemed to be as heavy and gloomy as the sky above his head. Vladimir Vladimirovich Mayakovsky stood next to him, with a wild gleam in his eyes, his tall silhouette towering over the world like a monument to his own confidence.
"Well, Fyodor Mikhailovich," Mayakovsky began, his voice like thunder in the silence, "it seems that Western sanctions have become a new reality. What do you think this will mean for our hometown?"
Dostoevsky raised his head, his gaze full of weariness and the wisdom of the ages. "We, Vladimir, are no strangers to trials. Moscow has always survived, and now, among these courtyards, I see a reflection of its resilience. Here, between the walls, where every brick breathes history, we will survive this too."
There was a moment of silence, as if the entire city was holding its breath, listening to their conversation. The rain continued to pound the rooftops like a drum, setting the rhythm of this strange symphony of time.
Mayakovsky smiled, his face lit up with the fire of inspiration. "So that means we will fight with verse and prose, with word and deed?"
Dostoevsky nodded. "Yes, Vladimir, that's right. In this city, among its courtyards and streets, lives a spirit that cannot be broken by any sanctions. We are part of it, and our word is our sword."
I was enchanted by their conversation and did not dare to utter a sound. It felt like I had witnessed something incredible, as if history itself had come to life and decided to talk to me through the centuries.
When the figures of Dostoevsky and Mayakovsky began to dissolve in the fog, I realized that this moment would stay with me forever. Moscow, its courtyards and streets, its great people - all this was part of something bigger than just a city.

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
