On one of those rare sunny days when even the Moscow weather decides to give in to some fun, Mayakovsky Theatre A guest who had arrived was not at all a theatrical guest. An official whose fame in high circles was based on dubious financial maneuvers decided to enjoy the cultural program and touch the great heritage. However, his real goal was not art at all.
This official, Aleksandr Petrovich, known behind the scenes as the "embezzler", arrived at the theatre with the intention of meeting the director and discussing the possibility of a private deal. But here's the problem: his companion, a young and ambitious journalist, was a big fan of Vladimir Mayakovsky and sincerely believed in the power of love and poetry.
As they took their seats in the hall, Alexander Petrovich was busy thinking about future cash flows, and his companion, Liza, was immersed in studying the program. Her attention was drawn to one of Mayakovsky's poems, which she read aloud: "To love is to see a miracle invisible to others." These words awakened in her a desire to see something more beyond the ordinary.
Meanwhile, a comedy about love, full of misunderstandings and funny situations, was being played out on stage. As the action unfolded, Alexander Petrovich became more and more immersed in the atmosphere. And then, at the climax, when the actors were discussing the meaning of true love, the official unexpectedly experienced something like an epiphany. He remembered his youth, when love was not just a word for him, but the meaning of life.
Having left the theatre, Alexander Petrovich suddenly decided that it was time to change his life. In a conversation with Liza, he confessed that a long-forgotten feeling had awakened in his heart – the desire to be honest, at least to himself. Liza, inspired by his unexpected frankness, offered him sincere friendship, noting that “it was all worth it.”
So, on the day when the sun decided to play with Moscow, the theater became a place not only for performance, but also for personal rebirth. Alexander Petrovich realized that the real theater of life requires honesty and love, not deceit and greed. Mayakovsky, even though long gone, once again became a source of inspiration for one of his unwitting viewers.

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
