Evening Moscow, shrouded in grey clouds, turned off light after light, plunging into a quiet night. Konstantin Stanislavsky walked slowly along the damp pavement, tired from the bustle of the day. Suddenly his gaze fell on the massive gates Butyrka prisonThis place, with its gloomy façade, was a symbol of another Moscow – harsh, but always mysterious.
The wind stirred the hem of his coat, reminding him of long-forgotten days when the voices of great artists, locked behind stone walls, resounded in this courtyard. Today everything was different. Stanislavsky felt a new feeling awakening in his heart – an interest in a foreign culture, in a language he had never studied before.
The next day, when the morning sun was pouring over the city streets, Konstantin was already sitting in his office. Books and notebooks lay in front of him, and next to him was a Chinese dictionary. He picked it up like an ancient artifact and began to delve into the mysteries of hieroglyphs. It seemed to him that this new occupation was like a theater, where every detail was important and every line could change the entire course of the action.
For months he studied, persistently and with inspiration, as if preparing for a premiere. But one day, after a long day, he felt his strength leaving him. He was tired of the verbosity and complex grammatical constructions. At that moment, the courtyard of Butyrka prison appeared before his mind's eye again. He realized that this image would never leave him, as would the desire to comprehend something more than just words.
One evening, when the Moscow streets were once again plunged into twilight, Stanislavsky decided to go for a walk. Passing the prison, he stopped and sat down on a bench opposite. The wind brought with it the smells of damp earth and old stones, and he felt that life, like learning a language, is a theater where every role is important and every word can become the key to a new reality.
Thus, in the heart of Moscow, among the noisy streets and quiet alleys, he realized that his path was an endless quest for knowledge and art that knew no boundaries and did not require translation. He smiled, thinking that this was the magic of theater and languages: they open up worlds that can change us even when we least expect it.

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
