Music, Cinema and a Flight Over the City. A Foreigner's Third Visit to Moscow / Day 1
A third visit to Russia, learning the language and plans to move — this is how our personal tour began for Denisa, who is in love with Moscow and its culture. The guest had already been here last summer, and before that, in 2019, she visited St. Petersburg. This time she arrived in January, six months after her last visit (photo report Here), and judging by her passion for the Russian language and films, Moscow may become her home in the future. It's nice that the charming foreigner chose us again, and we again provided her with a guide, Elena.
The first day of the program included a walk along Arbat, the center of the capital and an unforgettable flight over the city in Zaryadye Park. All travel this time was by metro, for which we had previously purchased an unlimited card for three days for Denisa (by the way, we had to buy it again). Already at the first transition from Tretyakovskaya to Novokuznetskaya, a surprise awaited us: Nikolai Ryabukha, a singer with a velvety baritone reminiscent of the voice of Muslim Magomayev, performed in the transition. His music enchants not only random passers-by, but also gathers full halls. Our guide and guest lingered there for about 15 minutes, enjoying his singing, and even took a selfie with the artist, and also recorded a video of his performance. Denisa really liked him as a professional singer.
It is worth noting that both performances that the guide and the excursionist met in the metro, Nikolai Ryabukha and the Russian group - all this is the project "Music in the Metro". It is great that famous artists who gather large halls can sometimes be seen simply by going down to the Moscow subway.
After the musical break, we went to Arbat. The walk was eventful: photos in front of the house where Pushkin lived, and getting to know Krivoarbatsky Lane, where the Melnikov House is located. Unfortunately, the building was closed for renovation, but we were still able to see it from the other side of the street. Our guide showed Denise the corner of the lane where the glass cafe stood in the film "I Walk the Streets of Moscow". This was especially interesting for our guest, because she learns Russian through films. She had already watched "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears" and "The Barber of Siberia", and after the guide told her about Nikita Mikhalkov and his work on "I Walk the Streets of Moscow", Denise added this film to her list. Later, she shared that she really liked the film.
The walk continued in the city center. We stopped for lunch at the Etentok restaurant, where Denisa had already dined during her last visit and was pleased. This time, the choice fell on the set lunch. Then we went to GUM, looked at Red Square and finished the day in Zaryadye Park. In the summer, we did not have time to get to the attraction "Flight over Moscow", but this time everything worked out, and Denisa was delighted with the new impressions. The first day ended with a return to the hotel, where the guest rested after a busy route. Our guide worked with her for six hours, from 10 am to 4 pm, and, as planned, escorted her to the hotel.
You can also book excursions "Heart of the capital", "Arbat secrets", "Palace Dungeons" and others.

Was on excursions along Sukharevskaya Square - we reached Tsvetnoy Boulevard, I didn’t expect it to be so interesting!
For those who are in doubt whether to go or not - go, it really has become one of the cool summer memories!!!
Thank you and Masha for yesterday!
The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau
Note: excursion "Heart of the capital» for participants of the Moscow Oncology Forum 2025. Guides - Anastasia and Maria
It was very interesting to hear how the Krasnaya district developed. Presni, how Prokhorov's figure influenced the development of our city. A pleasant dive into a quiet, previously unexplored area!

Overall, this wasn’t the first time I’ve walked around Moscow with Anton, and each time it was a real adventure!
I wanted to express my gratitude once again for the wonderful excursion on Saturday - we really enjoyed the walk, the information and the communication with you, then we discussed for a long time what everyone remembered and what struck them. It would seem that you have lived in Moscow all your life, there was Moscow studies at school, but it turns out that you still don’t know so much!! In general, thank you very much, my mother said it was the best gift for her birthday!

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
