In the center of Moscow, among the echoing alleys and mysterious corners, there was one of those bars that seemed to have witnessed all the great events and secrets of the city. That evening, filled with the aromas of old tobacco and spices, an ordinary, at first glance, visitor came here - an official, in whose pockets state money sometimes appeared.
The bar was known for its ability to attract not only people, but also ghosts of the past. And so, when the official sat down at the counter, a Mikhail BulgakovThe official turned around and saw him in the mirror, and his heart sank.
Bulgakov smiled and, as if invisibly drawing a line between reality and imagination, proposed a deal. He promised the official to fulfill three of his wishes if he gave up embezzlement and took part in a new project – creative writing to order.
The official's first desire was wealth, and Bulgakov, with a sly look in his eyes, gave him a ticket to success that opened the door to an honest career. His second desire was power, and the writer showed him how to become a respected leader without deception or cunning.
The third wish turned out to be the most difficult. The official wished to change his past, to erase all his mistakes. Bulgakov explained that this was impossible, but suggested another way - to atone for guilt through good deeds.
When the deal was done, the bar filled with light and Bulgakov disappeared, leaving only the aroma of tobacco and the soft rustle of the book's pages. The official, waking up, realized that his life had changed. He found a calling in creativity, began to inspire others, and his name became a symbol of honesty.
Time passed, and legends began to circulate in Moscow about how one man was able to change thanks to a meeting with the great writer. The bar where this happened became a place of pilgrimage for those who sought inspiration and believed in miracles.

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
