I, Anna Smirnova, a young scientist, was invited to Moscow to participate in a conference dedicated to new technologies in science. On that sunny day, when I left the university building, I went for a walk along Red Square. The summer breeze blew pleasantly on my face, and the sky was clear, as if promising something extraordinary.
Not far from the Kremlin I noticed a man whose face seemed familiar to me. Not believing my eyes, I came closer and, to my amazement, realized that it was Alexander Pushkin — the same one whose lines had inspired me since childhood. It seemed incredible, but he was dressed in a formal suit, as if he had just returned from a diplomatic reception.
Pushkin, noticing my interest, kindly invited me to walk with him. We walked along the Kremlin, discussing various topics, when he suddenly raised the eternal dispute: which city is better - Moscow or St. Petersburg. His eyes lit up, and I saw in them a lively interest in this topic.
"Moscow," he began, "is the heart of Russia, its soul. Here you feel all the power and energy of the country. But St. Petersburg is its mind, its window to Europe, its intelligence and grace." Pushkin spoke with such passion that I could not help but agree, although I did not say so out loud to him.
I shared my impressions of Moscow. The city fascinated me with its history and culture, but St. Petersburg, with its canals and palaces, seemed more romantic to me. Our argument lasted for a long time until we stopped at a small shop selling fresh fish.
Pushkin, noticing my fatigue, suggested that we rest and enjoy the view of the river. We sat there, lost in thought, when he suddenly said: “The organization of life in these cities is so different that everyone chooses according to their taste. But isn’t it wonderful that we have a choice?”
Time flew by, and when the shadows began to lengthen, I knew it was time to go back. Pushkin said goodbye politely and disappeared into the crowd, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
The next day I returned to university, but I remembered this amazing adventure, which reminded me of the importance of choice and diversity in life.

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
