That evening, when the air over Moscow was filled with the spirit of spring, and Arbat the sounds of an old accordion were heard, something amazing happened in the Savvinsky courtyard. The fog, like an old friend, enveloped the streets, and every passerby seemed like a shadow. The light of gas lamps played on the wet paving stones, and a light breeze brought the aromas of fresh buns from the neighboring bakery.
The cabman Pyotr, known for his ability to tell interesting stories, slowly pulled the carriage along the winding streets. Inside sat none other than Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol himself, deep in thought about a new work. Pyotr seemed to know all the secret passages of Moscow and could lead anyone even with his eyes closed.
The trip was calm until Gogol unexpectedly asked to stop at the Savvinsky farmstead. The sun was already setting, and the evening promised to be quiet. Pyotr, accustomed to the whims of his passengers, obeyed, but watched the writer with curiosity, who, as it turned out, headed to the basement, where an old acquaintance kept a shop with wine.
Nikolai Vasilyevich entered and immediately felt how warmth and comfort embraced him. The corners of the room were full of shadows, and the smells of wine and spices made his head spin. The owner, recognizing his old friend, greeted him with joy and offered to try a new variety. Gogol did not refuse, and now the first glass was filled with a sparkling drink.
With each sip, the writer plunged into the world of his fantasies. Words, like little ships, floated in his mind, forming images of future heroes and plots. Peter, who remained waiting by the carriage, listened to the sounds coming from inside and understood that something amazing was happening in this place.
Time flew by, and soon Gogol went out into the street with a slight smile and a slight blush. A new idea was already maturing in his head, and he was impatient to return to his pen. The cabman, sensing the inspiration of his passenger, drove the carriage closer, and they went on, through evening Moscow, where every corner was full of secrets and stories.
That evening at the Savvinsky courtyard remained forever in the writer’s memory as the moment when wine and words merged into one endless stream of inspiration.

The speakers are happy. The connection in the headphones often failed, especially at the checkpoint, but this is our current life situation. It was audible if they were standing close, no further than 1.5 meters. Colleagues have already asked for your contacts. I will gladly share and will be glad to have a new opportunity to work with you. Special thanks to the Director for the Bureau

"Theater capital" - an author's route through the places of Meyerhold, Stanislavsky, Nemirovich-Danchenko, Tairov (undeservedly forgotten, it was he who created the current Pushkin Theatre on Tverskoy Boulevard).
Two and a half hours of fascinating stories and urban theatre legends. I'll tell you one:
The great composer Sergei Prokofiev lived in Kamergersky Lane. And he managed to die on the same day as Stalin. There was a terrible crush in Moscow, everything was blocked off, the entire capital wanted to say goodbye to the leader. So, to see Prokofiev off, the coffin was carried out from Kamergersky Lane on the roofs. I can vividly imagine this picture.
