Family from Germany on a tour of Red Square and the Kremlin
On a beautiful June day, we conducted a private tour of the very heart of Moscow for a foreign family. The mother is Russian, the father is German and their little daughter enjoyed seeing the sights of the city under the sensitive guidance of our guide.
In Germany, this family lives in a small village with only a few houses. The excursionists' parents previously had their own farm, but now only a few inhabitants remain. But, despite this, the guests were friendly, inquisitive, and open to knowledge about the culture, architecture and history of Moscow.
The guests' choice fell on the route "Heart of the capital"The tour was conducted in German.
We decided to start the sightseeing tour with St. Basil's Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We also listened to men's choir church singing there. The father of the family really wanted to go on an excursion to the Kremlin, so we went there with a guide; tickets to the territory were booked by the guide in advance. And, since it was Saturday, the tourists were lucky enough to catch the changing of the guard of honor. Kremlin cadets impressed a foreign family with their article.
Then the guests visited GUM, where, of course, according to tradition, they tasted that legendary ice cream. The guide also showed the German guests images of the center of Moscow created many years ago, during Soviet times. This helped tourists even better track the changes and flourishing of the capital in different eras. They even asked Elena to then send all the photos to them by email, so that upon returning home they could admire photographs of GUM in seasonal decorations, as well as modern and rare views of the city. And at the same time remember this small but memorable journey.
