September, midweek. We receive an application for an individual excursion for a group of 25 people. The excursionists are foreign, they flew to Moscow for an event. And the organizer, shortly before their departure, realized that it would be a good idea to send this group on a walk around the center of the capital, preferably with a private guide. The author's excursion should be in English, a day after the application was received.
The customer did not know initially whether he wanted a walking excursion or by transport. He asked me to offer options, voicing the budget.
They were offered either a walking tour “The Heart of the Capital” or a bus tour, but shortened in time to fit within the available budget.
The customer chose the transport option. We found a free bus for them, chose an English-speaking guide from our team, available for the time requested by the customer. After paying the bill, the customer was sent the contacts of the guide and driver and the bus number.
At the appointed day and time, the bus and guide arrive at the tour group's hotel. We pick up the guests and bring them to Red Square. Along the way, the guide, of course, talks about the city's history and architecture, as well as its prominent figures. The group then takes a ninety-minute walk with the guide. around Red SquareThe guests were unable to set foot on Red Square itself, as the government had decided to close it that morning for political reasons. But the guests were still pleased. The tour participants spoke a variety of languages, so the narration was conducted in English, as originally requested.
At the appointed time, the guide "took his leave", and the foreign tourists stayed in the center for another half hour to walk around on their own, take photos, buy souvenirs. Then, on the same bus that was waiting for them on Vasilievsky Spusk, they went back to the hotel.
